(tell me this little sucker isn't cute!

My info here:
Already did this once...so ya'll that read me know who I am and what I'm about. For any newbies....I'm a Southern Belle with a short fuse and a wild hair....into motorcycles, music, my 2 4-legged children and everything and all things that go with the Ocean, especially sharks.

I'm married (to a much older but still pretty cool guy), and usually happily, although somtimes I wanta commit homocide....I'm a Dragon in eastern astrology and it REALLY fits my character, very little tolerance for ignorance, intolerance, people who abuse animals or other people, shark killers, and really the general public. Firmly believer in "karma"or the theory that you get back what you put in.

It's been AGES! Yeah, it's been ages since Ihave even typed a single character here and for that I apologize, not that I have this HUGE fan base or anything....(Schwed if you ever come back please leave me your URL as I have managed to delete it and can't recall the way it went!)
Bu I figured after the 3+ years I'e been writing here certainly it (my blog) deserves some much over due attention.
Honestly I have not been feeling myself for quite awhile, had some crap hanging over my head like that cloud in the anti depressant commercials...lol. No, I'm not on anti depressants, they make me LOONY with a capital L! I'm pretty sure that I have managed to put the worst of it behind me and I have also just recovered from a horrid bout of stomach flu, so I am feeling MUCH better now.
I absolutely hate being depressed and I can feel it when I am, but I also know that it is part of life and with every cloud there is usually a silver lining, damn I am optimistic today! lol...
So alot has been going on in my little corner of the fishbowl as I like to say. My hubs has been in talks with a large company that wants us to move to Seattle, not sure if I mentioned that before? Anyway the talks have grown more and more heated and teh principle is now on his way to a far away land to put the whole thing in place so there is a very good chance that I will become a West coast fish before we ring in 2009. Sorry for being cryptic but hubs signed an NDA (non disclosure agreement) so I must remain mute on the details for now. Suffice to say it would allow us both amazing opportunites and a chance to explore a coast neither of us have ever visited much less lived on! Very exciting.
IF it plays out and believe me I know it's a rather large IF still...I would definitely have the ability to finally return to schooling and finally earn the degree that I have always wanted, not only that but I would be near the Great White capital of the US, how feaking cool is that? (Pretty darn cool Sharky is the correct answer!)
In other news.....I'm still at my new job which is not so new anymore and is already somewhat boring, I know I suck. Life has been good lately, hubs and I took a much needed vacay to the beach earlier this month, it was a good time had by all and I got to spend alot of time with my daddy....which was nice since I don't see him all that often. Pretty much it's been just our normal routine. The dogs are great but HOT as it's summer here in the south. Max has again become a nocturnal dog and he just can't comprehend why I don't want to play until the wee hours of the morning! They are inside the house today, mainly because we are having a code red smog day and it's a high in the mid to upper 90's.
Ms. Schatten has been crazy spunky lately! It's been wonderful to see her running and playing and draggin me down the street on our daily walks! She acts like a pup again! Which of course makes me super happy, she has not had any further issues with her health after our scare last year. Of course her mother (me) feeds here the best food available and supplements her with wonderful fruits and veggies loaded with antioxidants! Did you know that raspberries actually have an enzyme or compund in them that makes cancer cells commit suicide? They do, so of course she gets her organic berries every week! I know she's a dog, but I am bound and determined for them to have the healthiest, longest most natural lives I can give them.
I've become quite the green little shark in the last year or so. Using my cloth grocery bags, recycling more and more and buying as much a I can organic, it's seems to be paying off as both hubs and I have trimmed down and we feel better. We have both noticed the difference our diet makes in our appearance and overall feeling of health, now if we could just quit smoking we'd be doing great. That too will come in it's own time....waiting for hubs to really be ready as I feel I am. We've been eating lots of fish (sustainable only) and organic veggies and LOADS of fruit (one great thing about the south is the abundance of great produce) pretty much cut out all red meat and most trans fats...it's a great thing. I've become the grillmaster for sure as hubs has relinquished all cooking duties to me! :) I don't mind.
Anyway this update has become a run on. I am considering a move to blogger as ebloggy has become fairly unreliable.....we'll talk about that tomorrow.Have a good one.

I know, I know It's been a long while since I posted...sorry. Although a lot of things have happened nothing really has happened ya' know? I mean holidays came and went and since the new year it's been very blah! Part of that is the weather which is just icky lately, I know Seattle isn't all that better than winter here...believe me I am aware.
So let's see a running list to get ya'll (that read) up to date. Basics first, I, unlike most people, lose weight during the holidays so I got super skinny. Yay right? No not so much as everyone complains when I get too thin, hubs included. So I've been eating better and put the normal weight back on.....then I starting eating a bit too much and am now a few (literally) lbs heavier than I want to be, so the cycle begins again! lol.
Job, well it sucks. Honestly, lost 2 deals since the new year started. Probably about to lose the car lot deal that I had going at the end of last year...arrgghh. Company attitude is that it's all good and we aren't making the best of it. Truth is every time I turn around they want to charge me more and more money to "teach" me how to be an agent and I'm still not getting leads. See, here's the catch I know for a fact (seen the lead sheets) that there are agents out there getting leads,it's just not me. So, reason would have me believe that either A) I haven't proven myself worthy or B) I'm not fitting in. I personally think it is B, because I have been there for more than a year now and see the company go through all kinds of changes and I busted my butt the first entire year, I've attended all the meetings and training sessions, I've been helpful to my colleagues all of it....so RE is not my thing, at least not now. As a result, I have been looking for a new start at something else. Found 2 good leads today, back in the care business. One is a parts counter position, the other is an office manager gig at an independent dealer, if you recall I had one like this prior to RE and left when I found out owner was....well, let's say unsavory type of fellow, that one shouldn't ought to associate with. So, hopefully I will get a call back on one if not both of them. See where that goes. It may sound awful or childish, but I want to go back to something that I am good at that makes me feel better about myself! RE has just made me feel crappy....that sucks. Enough about work.
Family...well all is pretty good. Dad has been in the hospital for over a week now. Some kind of infection apparently. They have been having trouble identifying the location I guess as well as the cause. So mostly he's been doped up on pain meds and antibiotics. He's getting better so that's a good sign. I hate that I can't be closer to him, but he hates GA and I hate FL, what can you do? Everyone else is good, little nieces will be here around my birthday (4/4) so I'll get to hang with them for a day, they're staying with my mom. Other than that it's SSDD....dogs are good, hubs s good. V-day was quiet, just a nice dinner and some yummy chocolates, I'm pretty low maintenance.
Life in general, well obviously it's been a little down. I honestly think part of it is winter...I really hate the freaking cold, dreariness that is winter. It kinda feels like it sucks the life right out of me! Bleck....Remind me to retire to the Caribbean! :) I'm trying to get myself out of it...being active and all. Today I have a rather annoying headache, but it will fade soon enough. As I type Max is sleeping next to me and starting to snore! so cute. So today I still have to clean the house up, get dinner (fresh fish) and get laundry done...exciting! Hope ya'll have a great weekend.

Winter Blahs.... It seems lately like I just can't get enough sleep...like I'm missing out on hibernation or something! Of course it doesn't really get all that cold here, but I am southern so less than 75 is cool to me!....lol. Today it's actually fairly crappy and quite chilly...around 36, they went and talked about a possible "wintry mix" for us in the morning and of course the grocery store was packed! I swing in to pick up some veggies for chicken stew and people are mobbing the place like they broadcast the end of days. It's pretty damn funny actually. Likely we'll get freezing rain and then just cold rain....whopee. I've got an appointment downtown in the early afternoon so obviously I'm not too concerned.
Haven't said anything here, or on the other blog really either but it appears we may be moving after the summer. Hubs and I are flying out to Seattle next month so he can interview for a big job out there. Never been that far west or that far north so it should be mighty interesting for me. We've been reading up on the city, climate, housing all that jazz. It seems like a very cool city and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that it's on the water. So of course I'll post pictures and my feelings on the city after we go. First we have to finish January, I have to finally close this damn lease deal I've been working for 3 months and hopefully close something tomorrow on this other deal I'm working. Then we can go west and check it out.
The coolest thing I've seen online yet about Seattle was about the Pike's Place farmers market...it's the one with the fish mongers that throw the fish! I told Ms Schatten we'd have to sneak her in disguised as an assistance dog and I'd have the guy toss her a salmon! You should see this dog tear into salmon, she seems part grizzly the way she goes for those fish. Anyway, it looks cool and I'm excited about the possibility of a whole new place and lifestyle and all that. I've never lived anywhere (as an adult) other than Georgia so it's definitely a big change...but maybe just what I need to find a groove. Later.

I should be working but... I just have to write a post....see I'm sitting here working on my laptop and truth is I was actually on a lunch break, but that's neither here nor there. So I'm sitting here and I've got VH1 Classic on the TV...it's the music station that actually has videos (amazing remember when MTV had videos?) anyway I'm watching Rock Fest which is all from the 60's 70's and 80's. I wanta say what happened to the good music? I mean seriously, I was watching Pink Floyd, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Bob Dylan....even David Bowie. What happened to music like that? Sorry I mean there's some new music I listen to don't get me wrong, but it seems to me like it's been an awfully long time since there has been GREAT music....like some of the aforementioned artists. Seriously does anyone think that say Fall Out Boy is anywhere even close to Dylan or Zeppelin....I think they'll still be listening to Stairway and Black Dog when my nieces are old....I can't say that about most new music. I'm sure that's just my opinion and someone will tell me to go blow it out my whatever...but that's the way it is.
Anyway that's the end of my rant, I'm gonna go listen to some Cash and finish my work.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN Here it is another All Hallows Eve. If it wasn't for the fact that I've been sick for the last few days I'd probably be dressing up and all that....as is I'm happy to have gotten my pumpkin carved and will soon set up my inflatable grim reaper.
Stayed home sick yesterday, of course I still worked in between naps but I was home. Today I went in for training and then came home...still feeling like crap and it doesn't help that I'm pmsing this week and I think that I've mentioned before that it's 3 months worth of PMS cause of the pills I take...so needless to say I've been a bit irritable this week! ;)
The night classes are over. I took my test on Monday AND I got a 100%! Yup....so far only me and one other person did that well....it was easy seriously but I guess the 15 minutes of review helped.
Have a BIG meeting on Friday about my commercial deal. This is the one where we find out if we're going to be able to put this together or not. So everyone please cross your crossables and send some vibes southwards on Friday....baby needs a new pair of shoes and this deal would do it. Not to mention get me salesperson of the month and put me way up in the commission splits!
Got another couple little commercial deals I am working on as well. So if I can get all 3 done then I am backing away from residential all together (well except for friends and family) Finally I'll be doing what I've wanted to all along! Not to mention that this commission on this big deal will allow me to take the commercial agent classes that will give me the CCIM designation which means I'll be a REAL agent...kinda like Pinocchio and him being a REAL boy! lol
Anyway it's time for another dose of Dayquil and I need to get reaper man up for the kiddies....swear I'll post a picture of my hair one day. I'm going to have to get the color redone before Turkey day.....reds fading fast....oh well.

Quick Update I won't be around much for a couple weeks. I've got Post license classes for the next 2 weeks 6-9pm...ICK! But it's an evil I have to deal with so...that's where I'll be.
I'm having a quick moment away from work but I have to get back to it. So just quickly, things are moving along quite well.
I got all my hair cut off. It's a pixie again and at the moment it's brown, but by Sunday it will be red. Been working a lot lately...which is a good thing. Kinda had a buyer flake out on me so hopefully he'll be back soon.
Been working a BIG commercial deal. We have a 2nd meeting at the end of the month. I'd love to close it this year, but somehow I'm thinking it'll be early next year. What the hell, I'll need it then too!
Dogs are good, family is good, hubs is good. Pretty much can't complain. Gotta bail on ya'...have a good day and I'll try to stop in this weekend....supposed to go see Mai Lan! (baby panda at the zoo)
